When a Special Power of Attorney is the right fit
Use a Special Power of Attorney when broad, continuing authority is unnecessary and the agent needs to:
- sign a named document or defined set of forms
- make or collect a particular submission
- complete one clearly described administrative procedure
- represent the principal for a single transaction step
- carry out another limited act that falls within the ten published POAS.ae services
The POA will identify the action, subject matter and receiving organisation as precisely as the available information allows.
What this service does not cover
This service is not for open-ended management or many unrelated matters. It also does not replace the dedicated Property Sale, Property Management, Vehicle, Bank Account, Corporate, Inheritance Administration, Non-Resident or Revocation & Cancellation service where one of those is the actual purpose.
It does not cover court representation, legal proceedings, wills, guardianship, medical decisions or a matter outside the ten published POAS.ae services. If the requested outcome is not supported, POAS.ae will not improvise a new service under a generic label.
Who this service is for
This service is for a principal who knows the exact result an agent must achieve and wants to grant no more authority than that result requires. It can also be suitable where a receiving organisation has supplied a form, clause request or written checklist for a one-off action.
You nominate the agent. POAS.ae does not supply or act as the agent under this service.
What POAS.ae coordinates
POAS.ae is operated by Cendale Documents Clearing Services FZCO. POAS.ae prepares Power of Attorney documents and coordinates notarisation through independent private notaries licensed by Dubai Courts. For this service, we prepare the document around the agreed purpose, provide the document checklist and manage drafting corrections.
POAS.ae is not a court, government authority, law firm or notary. The independent private notary performs the notarial act and makes the execution decision. The organisation asked to accept or rely on the POA applies its own requirements and retains its own acceptance decision.
Remote processing is available only where the notary accepts it; some cases require in-person or additional verification. Original documents or further identity and authority evidence may also be required.
Information and documents usually required

The private notary or receiving organisation may request additional documents, original records, attendance or identity checks.
How it works

- Upload the exact task. Provide the principal’s and agent’s details, the intended action and the receiving organisation through that case upload link.
- Define the boundary and route. We confirm that the action is within the ten supported POAS.ae services, identify the powers needed and check the execution route before drafting.
- Approve the tailored wording. Check every name, reference, power, limit and receiving-organisation detail.
- Complete the required execution. We coordinate the applicable route. Current Dubai Courts guidance states that online POA attestation requires the concerned parties to hold valid Emirates IDs and that a person holding only a passport and no Emirates ID must appear in person before the notary. The applicable official or notarial channel sets any further identity, attendance and verification requirements.
- Receive the completed document. We send the available digital copy and the agreed next-step instructions.
If the correct supported service or route costs less, POAS.ae refunds the difference. If it costs more, we obtain your approval before collecting the balance or drafting.
Timing
Our target is preparation and coordinated notarisation by the next business day once payment, complete documents, identity checks and draft approval are in place. It can take longer if information is incomplete or private-notary or Dubai Courts capacity is constrained. This is a target, not a guarantee.
The POA Fit Promise
Before drafting, POAS.ae reviews the requested powers, receiving organisation, authority evidence, identity documents and signing route. If the selected route is not workable and you do not accept an available alternative, the POAS professional fee is refunded under the Refund Policy.
If a POA prepared by POAS.ae cannot be used for the purpose agreed with you because we selected the wrong supported POA type or made a drafting or scope error, we will correct the document without another POAS professional fee. If we cannot correct it for that agreed purpose, we will refund the POAS professional fee.
The promise does not cover changed instructions; inaccurate, incomplete or late information; a change in law or receiving-organisation policy after approval; an action outside the agreed scope; an independent decision made for reasons unrelated to POAS.ae’s drafting; failure to complete the required signing, notarisation or notification process; or any third-party charge.

What makes a Power of Attorney “special”?
Its authority is tied to a defined act or tightly limited purpose rather than a broad set of continuing affairs. The title alone is not enough; the operative powers must describe the task accurately.
Can one Special Power of Attorney include several steps?
Yes, when the steps are genuinely connected to the same defined outcome. If they are unrelated or ongoing, a General Power of Attorney or another purpose-specific service may be more accurate.
What if the receiving organisation has given me required wording?
Send it with the case documents. We will use it as an input, check it against the agreed purpose and present the draft for your approval. The private notary still decides what it can notarise, and the receiving organisation retains its own acceptance decision.
Can POAS.ae create a Special Power of Attorney for anything?
No. POAS.ae supports only the ten services shown on its website. We will not turn an unsupported legal, court, medical, immigration, tax or other matter into a generic Special Power of Attorney.
Can I add another task after approving the draft?
Tell us before notarisation. If it materially changes the agreed purpose, we will re-scope the file and confirm any price difference. A change after notarisation may require a new POA and new third-party charges.
Is acceptance guaranteed?
No. POAS.ae cannot control the independent decisions of the private notary or receiving organisation. POAS.ae is responsible for matching its draft to the agreed purpose and correcting its own drafting or scope errors under the POA Fit Promise.
