Every POA file starts with the people, the intended act and the organisation expected to accept the instrument. The exact document list changes with the service, principal, agent, asset, company, execution route and recipient. A checklist is preparation guidance, not a guarantee that no additional evidence will be requested.
The person being authorised is the agent, not the “recipient”. The recipient is the organisation asked to rely on the POA.
The licensed notary or recipient may ask to inspect an original even when a scan was sufficient for initial review.
The route may require Arabic, bilingual drafting, certified translation or an interpreter. Under current Dubai Courts POA-ratification guidance, a document not in Arabic must be accompanied by a legal translation certified by the UAE Ministry of Justice. Translation should be based on the approved content and accurate identity spellings. Certified translation and interpretation are separate third-party charges unless expressly included.
The applicable licensed notary decides the method. The process may include document review, live or in-person identity verification, authority checks for a company, questions to confirm understanding and consent, language or interpretation checks, and execution through the approved channel.
Remote verification may be available in some cases, but it is not universal. Current Dubai Courts guidance states that online POA attestation requires the concerned parties to hold valid Emirates IDs and that a person holding only a passport and no Emirates ID must appear in person before the notary. The agent may or may not need to participate depending on the instrument and provider requirements. Do not promise a format until it is confirmed for the case.
Our target is preparation and coordinated notarisation by the next business day once payment, complete documents, identity checks and draft approval are in place. It can take longer if information is incomplete or private-notary or Dubai Courts capacity is constrained. This is a target, not a guarantee. An uploaded document that is expired, illegible, inconsistent or missing required authority evidence does not make the file complete.
Initial review may use copies, but the licensed notary or recipient can require originals, certified copies or direct verification. Follow the case-specific instruction.
Not in every matter. The applicable notary and recipient decide whether the agent’s participation, specimen signature or KYC is required.
Do not assume so. Identity requirements are channel- and case-specific. Supply current documents or obtain confirmation before relying on an expired record.
Potentially, but the route must be checked. Remote signing, foreign notarisation and legalisation requirements vary.
Tell POAS before drafting and provide the underlying official records. A recipient or notary may require evidence linking the versions.
Use the verification feature, reference or official channel shown on the completed document and confirmed by the licensed provider. Do not rely only on an emailed image.
