Scope & responsibilities
This page explains what POAS.ae does (and does not do), so clients can use the service with clear expectations.
POAS.ae is operated by CENDALE DOCUMENTS CLEARING SERVICES FZCO and provides a managed coordination service for Power of Attorney (POA) preparation and execution workflows in the UAE. POAS.ae is an independent service and is not affiliated with any government authority.
⸻
What POAS.ae covers (our scope)
POAS.ae may provide the following, depending on the POA type, jurisdiction, and required execution route:
1) Intake, review & process mapping
- Collecting the client’s instructions and required identity details
- Identifying the correct POA type (general/specific; personal/corporate; property/banking/vehicle/immigration etc.)
- Mapping the likely execution route (e.g., notary appointment, remote notary pathway where available, or embassy/consulate pathway where relevant)
- Highlighting common errors that cause rejection (names, ID numbers, authorities granted, missing annexures)
2) Drafting coordination (where applicable)
- Coordinating POA drafting through appropriate channels
- Ensuring the draft aligns with the client’s intended powers and the receiving party’s practical requirements (bank, developer, authority, trustee office, etc.)
- Managing revisions and version control so the final document is coherent and consistent
3) Appointment coordination & submission handling
- Coordinating appointment booking and scheduling logistics
- Providing a clear checklist of what to bring and what to prepare
- Guiding the client through the sequence (what happens before, during, and after execution)
4) Document handling & delivery options
- Supporting document submission via:
- secure upload portal, or
- email / WhatsApp if that is easier for the client
- Coordinating delivery of the final executed document in digital form
- Where a physical copy is issued by the relevant authority during an in-person visit, coordinating client collection instructions
5) Post-execution support
- Helping the client understand what the executed POA is for, and typical next steps
- Providing supporting guidance for acceptance requirements where commonly requested (certified copies, translations, attestations), if relevant to the POA’s intended use
⸻
What POAS.ae does not do (clear exclusions)
To avoid confusion, POAS.ae does not:
- Act as a government authority, notary public, court, embassy, or consulate
- Guarantee that a third party (bank, developer, authority, overseas institution) will accept a document
- Provide legal advice as a law firm would (we coordinate the process and the document route; where formal legal advice is required, the client should obtain it from a licensed lawyer)
- Control government processing times, appointment availability, or third-party internal approvals
- Represent clients in disputes, litigation, or contested matters
⸻
Client responsibilities
To keep the process fast and clean, the client agrees to:
- Provide accurate identity details (names, passport/Emirates ID numbers, nationality, DOB) exactly as shown on official documents
- Disclose any relevant constraints early (urgent deadlines, overseas usage, special receiving-party wording requirements)
- Review drafts carefully and confirm that the powers granted reflect their intent
- Attend appointments on time and bring required originals (or certified copies) as instructed
- Pay government / authority fees directly where required, and approve any third-party charges before they are incurred
⸻
Third-party dependencies (important)
Many POA workflows depend on third parties (e.g., notary offices, translators, attestation channels, embassies/consulates, banks, developers, or authorities). POAS.ae will:
- coordinate, follow up, and reduce friction, but
- cannot guarantee availability, turnaround times, or acceptance decisions.
⸻
Quality standard (what we commit to)
POAS.ae commits to:
- Clear, checklist-driven instructions
- Single-thread coordination (no scattered WhatsApp groups unless the client requests)
- Version control (so drafts do not get confused)
- Practical acceptance-first drafting discipline (written so the receiving party can actually use it)
⸻
If you are unsure whether POAS.ae covers your request
If you are not sure whether your POA request is covered (or whether you need a POA, a legalisation route, or a different instrument), contact us and we will advise the process route and the likely requirements before you proceed.
