A Bank Account Power of Attorney can authorise an agent to carry out the banking acts stated in the instrument. Each bank applies its own acceptance, KYC, specimen-signature, product and attendance rules. Notarisation does not require a bank to activate the authority.
Where possible, ask the intended bank:
Provide any bank response to POAS. A clear rejection note or prescribed form is more useful than guessing.
Depending on the customer’s instructions and bank acceptance, a draft may address:
Do not combine routine account administration, borrowing, security, investment, digital access and account closure under a vague “all banking powers” clause. These actions carry different risks and requirements.
Never send POAS or an agent your banking password, card PIN, CVV or one-time code. A POA is not authority to bypass security controls.
Private-notary, bank, government, translation and other third-party charges are separate unless expressly included.
No. The bank applies its own current policy and may request additional documents, forms or attendance.
Only if the instrument states that authority and the bank accepts it. Limits and permitted destinations should be considered deliberately.
Do not assume so. Each bank may apply different wording and onboarding requirements. Naming the intended institutions can improve clarity.
Only where expressly authorised and accepted by the bank. Those acts should not be inferred from routine account-management wording.
Company banking authority may require the Corporate Power of Attorney service and evidence from the company’s constitutional and approval records.
No. Our target is preparation and coordinated notarisation by the next business day once payment, complete documents, identity checks and draft approval are in place. It can take longer if information is incomplete or private-notary or Dubai Courts capacity is constrained. This is a target, not a guarantee. The bank’s review operates on its own timetable.
